Pokemon Go Searching for Gold Research Day, PokeStops May Turn Gold Without a Golden Lure

All is gold in the golden world of Pokemon Go. So is the Searching for Gold Research Day that is about to happen in the game.

Happening June 3rd, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. local time, players can complete new Field Research tasks, and encounter different Pokemon. The Pokemon that will be available from event-themed Field Research tasks obtained from PokeStop Discs are:

  • Caterpie
  • Magikarp
  • Nosepass
  • Sableye
  • Barboach

The Pokemon featured as wild encounters during the event are:

  • Weedle
  • Bellsprout
  • Poochyena
  • Buizel
  • Tympole
  • Shelmet
  • Stufful
  • Lickitung
  • Azumarill

During the whole event, some PokeStops will turn gold even if you hadn’t used a Golden Lure Module. However, if you did not use this Module, Roaming Form Gimmighoul will not be appearing at that PokeStop, but you can still find Gimmighoul Coins.

Last but not least, there will be a paid Timed Research available in the game, where Trainers can encounter Caterpie, Magikarp, Nosepass, Sableye, and Barboach. Keep in mind that this TImed Research expires, and you must complete it and claim the rewards before 5:00 p.m. local time.

For last, the Timed Research ticket will be available starting May 31, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, to June 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. local time.
