Shantae 1, Original Game from 2002 Getting A Digital Launch For PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
The first ever Half-Genie heroine from the past is coming back to the present, and that is Shantae.
Announced by WayForward, they will be completing the Shantae Series on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with the release of Shantae 1 on June 2nd, 2023. The game will be available to players for $9.99.
As you may know, the PlayStation versions are made out of the Carbon Engine system, developed by Limited Run Games, where everything will be kept as it was back in 2002 with the graphics, sounds and whatnot. Fear not, there will be modern options as well, such as visual filters and more.
Players will be able to transform into monkeys, elephants and other sorts of animals, as they travel across the Sequin Land, and visit forests, swamps and deserts. Each labyrinth that the players see will have a boss waiting for them at the end, and the chance to use new abilities that players will get from upgrading their character. Keep an eye out for any secret passages.
