Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Surpasses 2 Million Units Sold Worldwide

The remastered series of the first six Final Fantasy games finds success on multiple platforms

Square Enix has recently announced that its popular Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series, which includes remastered versions of the first six Final Fantasy games, has sold over two million units worldwide.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has breathed new life into the iconic 2D titles, from the original Final Fantasy through to Final Fantasy VI. The remastered games feature updated visuals that remain true to the original sprites while boasting a reimagined orchestral soundtrack. Additional features include disabling random battles and increasing XP earned, and a new pixel font, though the classic font remains available.

While the publisher did not provide a detailed breakdown of sales figures for each game, the overall success of the series is evident. The games’ PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions were released globally on April 20 and have contributed to the impressive sales milestone.
