Diablo 4 Hotfix 12 Impacts Some Classes, Patch Notes and more

The hotfix was escorted by another Hotfix 13, which fixes some things caused by Hotfix 12.

Blizzard continues to tinker with their beloved Diablo 4. With the latest Hotfix 12 1.0.2, which rolled out on June 23, 2023, they’ve significantly tweaked gameplay mechanics and class-specific elements.

First and foremost, the gameplay change that’s causing the most buzz in the community is the adjustment to how specific unique weapons drop in-game. The Barbarian Unique weapons Overkill, Hellhammer, and Ancient’s Oath will no longer drop for Druid players.

Blizzard forewarns that Druid players who have these weapons equipped will still be able to use them, but should they be removed from the weapon slot, re-equipping will be impossible. Moving forward, these specific unique items will be out of the Druid’s reach, a strategic shift that will likely prompt new gameplay strategies and character builds.

Without further ado, you can find the patch notes below:

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
