Fast Travel Games Announces Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice for PlayStation VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3

Fast Travel Games has unveiled its new game, Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice. The title will be a virtual reality adventure RPG available on PlayStation VR2, Quest 2, and Quest 3, with a slated launch in late 2023.

Creative Director Erik Odeldahl described the project as a unique take on the rich narrative world of Vampire: The Masquerade. Players will step into the role of Justice, a vampire of clan Banu Haqim, to navigate through a dark, mysterious Venice to uncover their sire’s killer.

The game aims to deliver an immersive experience, leveraging the capabilities of PS VR2 to encapsulate the essence of a stealthy vampire. Players can drink blood from unsuspecting victims, unleash powerful disciplines, vanish into thin air, and use lethal force when required. The level of immersion is enhanced with the adaptive triggers and haptic abilities of PS VR2’s controllers and headset.

While vampires have superhuman strength and speed, the game won’t be a walk in the park. Challenging foes will require players to strategize, utilizing stealth, quick attacks, and powers of persuasion to unlock new paths.

The game will transport players to an unfamiliar Venice, far removed from the city of love, on postcards. Instead, they will encounter a world filled with shadows, conspiracies, and fierce vampires in power struggles.

Odeldahl emphasized the narrative strength of the game while noting its rewarding exploration and experimentation elements. The game features an original story and characters and offers a welcoming experience to newcomers and veterans of Vampire the Masquerade and the World of Darkness.

Players will hide from their prey with Cloak of Shadows, drink blood to keep hunger at bay and employ a range of skills to solve puzzles and engage in combat. As they progress, they’ll earn experience points that will help them become the ultimate apex predator.

Sean Greaney, Paradox Interactive‘s VP of World of Darkness, commended Fast Travel Games for their previous standout VR titles and expressed enthusiasm about bringing Vampire: The Masquerade to virtual reality. He affirmed that Justice would capture the dark themes and intense action of Vampire: The Masquerade, appealing to fans and newcomers to the World of Darkness.
