First Trailer for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 4 Reveals Vondel

The first glimpse of Season 4 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has been revealed. Activision launched the premier trailer during Thursday’s live kick-off show of the Summer Game Fest. The highly anticipated teaser reveals exciting new features, changes, and, most notably, a brand-new Warzone map, Vondel. Season 4 will launch on June 14, just around the corner.

The spotlight of the trailer is undeniably the introduction of Vondel, a medium-sized Warzone map. This waterfront district of a Baroque European city is an immersive blend of centuries-old history and modern architectural developments, providing a unique gaming backdrop. The map is set to host a variety of game modes, including Resurgence, DMZ, and a limited-time mode, Lockdown. Players can also anticipate the arrival of the classic Battle Royale mode to Vondel later in the season.

The trailer hints at over half a dozen new features set to launch with Season 4. Among these upgrades is the Tactical Amphibious Vehicle, a versatile ride that can navigate both the streets and canals of Vondel. Other features include the return of Favorite Supply Boxes, dynamic fog to increase game complexity, and a new Field Upgrade.

While players eagerly await the release of Vondel, changes are also afoot for the existing Warzone map, Al Mazrah. Season 4 brings slight topographical modifications to this location, affecting gameplay strategies and movement within the city.
