Pokemon Go Niantic Spreading Outdated, Incorrect Info About Ditto
Ditto, the Transform Pokemon, is a unique creature in Pokemon Go. Unlike other Pokemon that can be found openly, Ditto disguises itself as common Pokemon, making it a challenging catch for Trainers. The excitement lies in the unexpected encounter when a caught Pokemon reveals its true form as Ditto.
For some time now, Trainers have been aware of Ditto’s disguises, but recent events have led to confusion when Niantic and Pokemon Go shared incorrect information.
A Twitter user named Davis reached out to Niantic support to inquire about the current Ditto disguises. Unfortunately, the player received the wrong list. As a result, many Trainers may have been on the lookout for the wrong Pokemon, leading to frustration and disappointment.
The incorrect list that was tweeted included:
- Ekans
- Gastly
- Spinarak
- Natu
- Surskit
- Numel
- Bidoof
- Finneon
- Lillipup
- Dwebble
- Swirlix
We'll help, Davis! Pokémon that could be disguised as Ditto are Ekans, Gastly, Spinarak, Natu, Surskit, Numel, Bidoof, Finneon, Lillipup, Dwebble and Swirlix. You will have better chance of finding them after activating Incense. We hope this helps, good luck! ^GA

I guess they forgot they changed this lineup back in March 2023, and they’ve never changed it since. That said, the list they shared on Twitter is wrong, and we now have the correct list of Pokemon that can currently be disguised as Ditto. The updated list includes:
- Diglett
- Grimer
- Snubbull
- Corphish
- Starly
- Roggenrola
- Tympole
- Litleo
With this accurate information, Trainers can refocus their efforts on finding Ditto without the confusion of outdated disguises.
I have had 2 actual mission tasks and 1 “daily challenge” for several months. I assume Ditto does not actually still exist in the game.
