Pokemon Go Seventh Anniversary Party Event Details

We have been through seven years with Pokemon Go, some sweet, some bittersweet. But it is always good to celebrate the game that brought us together.
Starting July 6th, 2023, and ending July 12th, 2023, as part of Pokemon Go’s 7th Anniversary Party, Trainers will have the chance to get encounters with Wartortle wearing a party hat and Blastoise wearing a party hat.
There will be many bonuses, and they are the following:
- Increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends
- Increased chance of Pokemon becoming Lucky through trades
- Chance of finding 7, 77 or more Gimmighoul Coins when you spin a PokeStop with a Golden Lure Module
Niantic is also introducing something new, and that is bonuses for each day of the event, besides the main ones. The schedule is the following:
- July 6th, 2023 – 2x XP for catching Pokemon
- July 7th, 2023 – 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon
- July 8th, 2023 – 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
- July 9th, 2023 – 1/2 Egg Haatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an incubator on this day
- July 10th, 2023 – Friendship levels will increase twice as fast
- July 11th, 2023 – 2x Candy for transferring Pokemon
- July 12th, 2023 – 2x XP for evolving Pokemon
As wild encounters, during Pokemon Go’s 7th Anniversary Party event, Trainers will be able to encounter the following Pokemon:

There will be anniversary-themed Field Research tasks, and the featured Pokemon will be the first-partner Pokemon, like Bulbasaur, Mudkip and more. Plus, there will be certain Field Research tasks that will reward Mega Energy for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert. As always, there will be a paid Timed Research, available to Trainers for $2, for which trainers will receive the following:
- One Incubator
- One Super Incubator
- One Premium Battle Pass
- One Lucky Egg
- One Rocket Radar
- One Star Piece
- One Incense
- 77,777 XP
- An encounter with Pikachu wearing a party hat.
ALERT, ALERT!
Mew is coming back! Yes, you heard us right, Mew is paying us a visit through Masterwork Research, available to Trainers for $5. It is the same Masterwork Research story from 2021, when Mew first paid us a visit.
Last but not least, to celebrate the number seven, there will be a Community Day Classic featuring the #0007 Pokemon, which is Squirtle. This event will be taking place on July 9th, 2023.
