Destiny 2: The Final Shape Set to Launch on February 27, 2024

Bungie has announced the release date for the much-anticipated expansion, The Final Shape. Scheduled for February 27th, 2024, the expansion will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.

The Final Shape transports players into the Pale Heart of the Traveler to face a menacing entity known as The Witness. The Witness seeks to enact the Final Shape, a frozen and perfect state of the universe, using the Light.

This expansion offers players a glimpse into previously visited locations, viewed through the trailer’s eyes, such as the classic Tower. It marks the franchise’s first linear destination, introducing new enemies like Subjugators who wield Strand and Stasis.

The launch trailer showcases a nightmarish calcification of reality in the Witness’s twisted design. Guardians are called to embark on a perilous journey, rally the Vanguard, and end the War of Light and Darkness.

The expansion’s completion opens the entire destination for exploration, but confronting The Witness requires playing the raid.

Destiny 2 continues to offer its responsive first-person shooter combat, exploration of the solar system’s mysteries, and unleashing of elemental abilities against formidable foes.

Players can customize their Guardian with unique weapons, armor, and gear with The Final Shape. Whether playing the cinematic story alone or with friends, engaging in challenging co-op missions, or competing in various PvP modes, the expansion promises an enriched Destiny 2 experience.
