It can only be assumed that this Pokémon was accidentally released into the game, but at least we had some time to enjoy the joy and happiness of its release.
A few days ago, if you remember well, there was a minor debacle in the Pokémon GO world, where Shadow Hisuian Sneasel started appearing in encounters, and it all caught us off guard. Literally. So we all immediately started a virtual party, celebrating getting a Shadow Hisuian Sneasel.
Soon after that, the party was crashed by the news that Shadow Hisuian Sneasel forcefully went back to its normal form, and we were left with no Shadow Hisuian Sneasel in our PokéDex. Many Trainers were upset with Niantic (understandably) and now, to top that anger off, Hisuian Sneasel will not be eligible for GBL battles.
As Niantic reported, “Shadow Hisuian Sneasel and Sneasler do not feature the purple shadow effect despite being caught in Shadow Raids.”, so to put an end to this, they have decided to completely ban the Pokémon from Great Battle League.
