Niantic and Pokemon Go are getting ready to celebrate the highly anticipated 2023 Pokemon World Championships with some thrilling surprises. This special in-game event introduces not only a unique atmosphere but also two brand-new Pokemon to discover.

The 2023 Pokemon World Championships are set to unfold at the PACIFICO Yokohama Convention Center in Yokohama, Japan, commencing on Friday, August 11, 2023, and concluding on Sunday, August 13, 2023. But the excitement doesn’t stop there – the corresponding event within Pokemon Go is scheduled to run from August 11, 2023, all the way through August 15, 2023.

While Niantic and Pokemon Go are keeping the details of the highly anticipated 2023 Pokemon World Championship under wraps for now, it seems like a minor mishap has led to an unexpected sneak peek. It appears that someone might have hit the wrong button, inadvertently unveiling a glimpse of the excitement to come – two new Pokemon are on the horizon.

Recent updates from the Japanese Pokemon Go Twitter account, although now removed, have shed light on the much-anticipated surprises. Prepare to welcome Passimian and a Pikachu wearing an exclusive WCS T-Shirt, as they make their debut appearance in Pokemon Go, aligning perfectly with the 2023 Pokemon World Championships event. WCS T-Shirt Pikachu can be shiny.
