Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock event eeatures Paldea Region debuts and global Unown appearances

Trainers, brace yourselves because we’ve got some exciting news coming your way. Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts during Pokémon GO Fest 2023, we’re unlocking not just one but two major events: Ultra Unlock: Paldea and A Paldean Adventure. So, let’s dive right into the details.

First up, Ultra Unlock: Paldea is set to kick off on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and will run through Friday, September 15, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Now, get ready for a whole new roster of Pokémon first discovered in the Paldea region. We’re talking Nymble, Lokix, Pawmi, Pawmo, Pawmot, Bombirdier, Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur. Oh, and if you’re feeling lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Bombirdier.

For those of you focused on evolving your new catches, you’ll need 50 Nymble Candy to evolve Nymble into Lokix. Pawmi evolves into Pawmo with 25 Pawmi Candy, and then into Pawmot for an additional 100 Pawmi Candy – but not before you’ve walked 25 km with Pawmo as your buddy. For Frigibax, you’ll need 25 Frigibax Candy to evolve it into Arctibax and another 100 Frigibax Candy to evolve Arctibax into Baxcalibur.

But wait, there’s more. Unown will be appearing globally in raids. Be on the lookout for variants A, D, E, L, and P. The Timed Research featuring Lechonk will be extended, and there will be special bonuses like 4× XP and 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

If you’re up for it, you can also get event-exclusive Timed Research for $5. It comes loaded with rewards like encounters with Pawmi, a Pawmi Backpack avatar item, three Rare Candy, one Incubator, 10 Silver Pinap Berries, 921 Stardust, and 9210 XP. Just a heads-up, you need to complete this research before September 15, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

You’ll also be able to gift these tickets to your Pokémon GO friends if you’ve reached a Great Friends status or higher. But keep in mind, these tickets are non-refundable. Finally, keep an eye out for special Showcases at select PokéStops where you can enter Pawmi or Nymble, and remember that various Pokémon are more likely to appear as Shinies during the event.
