Pokémon Go’s Noxious Swamp event, scheduled from August 19 to August 22, 2023, offers an exhilarating mix of challenges and opportunities. The event is themed around Poison- and Dragon-type Pokémon, featuring special Timed Research quests, increased encounters with Team Go Rocket, and even the debut of Shiny Skrelp. But it’s the unique raiding task that has caught everyone’s attention.
This particular task, “Win 2 Raids Using a Team of All Unique Pokémon Species,” from the Noxious Swamp Timed Research is a real head-scratcher for some. It mandates Trainers to win two raids with a team where each Pokémon is of a different species. This doesn’t mean they can’t be of the same type, the restriction is solely on the species.
Here’s an example to make it clear:
- Correct Approach: Using Machamp, Charizard, Bulbasaur, Darmanitan, etc. on your team.
- Incorrect Approach: Having 2 Machamps, 2 Bulbasaur, 2 Charizards, or 2 Darmanitans on your team.
As long as the species are unique, the task’s requirement is fulfilled.
Unfortunately, not everything seems to be smooth sailing. Some Trainers have reported that the task is not registering correctly even when using different species. The Pokémon Go team is aware of this hiccup and is currently investigating the cause.
