Counter-Strike 2 September 15 patch fixes the AK47

Valve, the developer behind Counter-Strike 2, released a new update on September 15, 2023, bringing adjustments and fixes to pique dedicated players’ interest.

One of the more exciting points in the release notes was an issue where AK47 headshots were not always lethal. This has now been fixed, restoring the AK47 to its rightful power.

  • Adjusted the weight of the vending machine
  • Various fixes

  • Various clipping adjustments
[ SOUND ]
  • Tuned the vertical audio occlusion of grenade sounds in Nuke and Vertigo
  • Adjusted ambient sounds in Office
  • Adjusted silenced weapon falloff
[MISC]
  • Fixed a case where an AK47 headshot would not deal lethal damage
  • Adjusted nametag location for Shadow Daggers
