Dark and Darker’s second wipe scheduled for September 26th

Dark and Darker fans have seen their fair share of adventures, conquests, and challenges, but maintaining balance and fairness is crucial for a game of this caliber. As Ironmace steers this ship, sometimes tough decisions must be made. One such resolution is the upcoming game wipe, the second of its kind, set for September 26th.

The first wipe was a hard reset, effectively taking every player back to square one. All progress was erased, leading players to restart their adventures. This move, while controversial, was seen as a necessary step to ensure the game’s integrity, especially during its developmental phase.

This announcement came as a surprise for many, especially with the sudden shift in schedule. Initially, players were looking forward to the Early Access Patch #1. However, unforeseen issues like a severe gold duping bug prompted the developers to divert. The bugs were enough to justify an earlier-than-expected wipe.

Player inventories, including all items and gold, will be erased this time. Players will retain their characters and their progression in terms of levels. You won’t have to start entirely from scratch.

With the introduction of the Early Access Patch #1, players should brace themselves for sweeping balance changes. Almost every class, weapon, and item in the game will undergo adjustments. This revamp aims to create a more balanced and fair playing field for all, taking into account feedback and data from the community.
