If you’re as psyched as we are for Detective Pikachu Returns hitting the Nintendo Switch in early October 2023, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that Niantic is rolling out the red carpet with a Detective Pikachu event in Pokémon GO. Not only Detective Pikachu but also Cowboy Hat Slowpoke will make its Pokémon GO debut.

Niantic has a packed calendar for Pokémon GO this October, but they’ve been playing coy about one event in particular. Our sources say this is the Detective Pikachu shindig, and it’s scheduled to run from October 5 through October 9, 2023. Could it get any better? Actually, yes.

Expect a jam-packed event with a new Research storyline, a Shiny Detective Pikachu to dazzle your collection, and even a Cowboy Hat Slowpoke to bring a bit of Western flair. Although we’re still in the dark about what bonuses will be offered, we can safely bet they’ll be worth your while.
