To celebrate the release of Detective Pikachu Returns on the Nintendo Switch, Niantic and Pokémon GO have rolled out a special in-game event that runs from October 5 through October 9, 2023. Don’t miss your chance to snag some themed Pokémon and complete fresh tasks.
During this event, you can encounter some stylish Pokémon. We’re talking about Detective Hat Pikachu and its shiny counterpart, along with Slowpoke wearing a hat and its shiny version too. If you’ve been looking to add some extra flair to your Pokédex, now’s your time. Plus, evolving a Detective Hat Pikachu will get you a Raichu with a detective hat. How cool is that?
On top of that, there’s a new Collection Challenge and a Timed Research storyline to dive into. The Detective Pikachu Returns Timed Research features two steps, and six Detective Pikachu encounters. The good news? The tasks are manageable, so make sure to get on it before time runs out.
