Pokémon GO distracts LAPD officers from responding to robbery, dashcam footage revealed

Trainers, let’s talk about a Pokémon GO story that’s making some serious headlines. This one comes straight from the Los Angeles Times and it’s kind of a shocker.
Two LAPD police officers, Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell, were so busy playing Pokémon GO back in 2017 that they straight-up ignored a robbery call. Yep, you read that right. These guys were more interested in catching Pikachu than catching criminals.
Footage from their squad car’s dashcam just came out and it confirms it all. The officers were deep into the game and completely missed their duty to help out with a robbery. They got fired in 2018 after getting caught in their lie.
Instead of focusing on apprehending real-life criminals, they were engrossed in debating the best strategies to capture a Snorlax in Pokémon GO. After being fired for their misconduct, attempts to secure reemployment were unsuccessful. They took their case to an appellate court, only to lose again. The in-car video capturing their lapse in judgment was finally released to the public due to a freedom of information request.
So, look, we all love Pokémon GO. It’s more than a game; it’s a way to connect with others and even get some fresh air. But let’s be real. Life responsibilities come first. Don’t let your Pokémon quest make you drop the ball on what really matters. Stay smart, play safe, and keep it balanced, Trainers.
