Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part 1 details

The time has come. THE TIME has officially arrived, Trainers, and we advise you to get ready for what you are about to get.

Starting October 19, 2023, and ending October 26, 2023, Trainers will have the chance to participate in the Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part 1 event, where they, for the first time ever, will see Greavard and its evolution Houndstone.

As wild encounters during the Pokémon GO Halloween 2023 Part 1 event, the following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently:

  • Ekans
  • Zubat
  • Alolan Meowth
  • Gastly
  • Haunter
  • Spinarak
  • Misdreavus
  • Poochyena
  • Shuppet
  • Drifloon
  • Litwick
  • Phamtump (including its Shiny form – a debut)
  • Sandygast

As always, there will be a Paid Timed Research available to Trainers for $5, and completing it will give you rewards such as encounters with Ghost-type Pokémon, Dark-type Pokémon and a Halloween-themed avatar pose.

An event-exclusive Timed Research will become available on October 19, 2023, and it will last until October 31, 2023. The focus of this Timed Research will be catching Ghost-type Pokémon, and completing the tasks will give Trainers rewards such as Stardust, encounters with Greavard and more. As a plus, additional Timed Research will focus on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. The rewards from completing the tasks will be encounters with Ghost-type Pokémon, as well as Spiritomb.

The bonuses that will be active throughout the whole event are:

  • Additional Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws and Excellent Throws
  • Additional Candy XL for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws and Excellent Throws
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive additional Candy XL for hatching Eggs
  • 2x Candy for hatching Pokémon

As Field Research task encounters, the following Pokémon will be available to catch:

  • Misdreavus
  • Phantump

In One-Star Raids, Trainers will see the following Pokémon:

  • Misdreavus
  • Shuppet
  • Drifloon

In Three-Star Raids:

  • Gengar
  • Sandygast
  • Greavard

In Five-Star Raids:

  • Guzzlord (until October 20)
  • Darkrai (from October 20)

In Mega Raids:

  • Mega Gengar (until October 20)
  • Mega Banette (from October 20)

The Pokémon that will be hatching from 7km Eggs are the following:

  • Munchlax
  • Riolu
  • Galarian Yamask

The event-exclusive avatar items that will be available are:

  • Yamask Mask
  • Cofagrigus Costume
  • Phantump Head
  • Greavard Wig

The Trainers who are Amazon Prime members will have the unique chance of claiming Timed Research with many rewards. This Timed Research is part of Pokémon’s collaboration with Amazon Prime Gaming, and it will can be claimed from October 16, 2023 until November 17, 2023. The research tasks must be completed before December 25, 2023.

In the Pokémon GO Web Store, there will be two Halloween bundles available for Trainers. The first one, priced at $4.99, will grant Trainers ten Premium Raid Passes, two Star Pieces and two Lucky Eggs. For $9.99 Trainers can get ten Super Incubators, five Incubators and two Incense.

For 495 PokéCoins, Trainers can get three Remote Raid Passes, one Star Piece and one Lucky Egg. For 725 PokéCoins, Trainers can get ten Premium Raid Passes, two Star Pieces and two Lucky Eggs, while for 1550 PokéCoins, there will be a bundle of ten Super Incubators, five Incubators and two Incense.

As part of the Ticket of Treats Timed Research, on October 19, 2023, 2023 will an event-exclusive paid Timed Research will become available. For completing it, Trainers can get two Incubators, additional encounters with Phantump and more.
