Pokémon GO World Championships 2024 US and Canada players need 500 Championship Points to secure an invitation

The 2023 Pokémon GO World Championships are behind us, and it’s time to gear up for the 2024 season. Speaking of champions, ItsAXN, the American expert in the Pokémon GO arena, is already confirmed to compete next year.
As the captain of Silph Arena faction Bad Mews, he’s got a trophy cabinet that could make anyone green with envy, NAIC 2022 Champion and Vancouver 2023 runner-up are among his achievements. His expertise and skill have already bagged him an invitation and a Travel Award for the 2024 World Championships, and fans can’t wait to see what he pulls off next.
So, how do you get to rub shoulders with the likes of ItsAXN? First off, you’ll want to know that the 2024 Championship Series will primarily operate in the Great League format. To participate, you have to be of or above the age of digital consent in your country. Initially, League Challenges and League Cups will only be open to players in the North America rating zone.
These are smaller events but a great starting point to earn Championship Points and fine-tune your strategies for larger competitions down the line.
Once you’ve got some experience under your belt, consider setting your sights on Regional and International Championships. These events not only have larger prize pools but also offer more Championship Points. And it’s not just about the competition; special events can also land you an invite to the World Championships.

These may be side events at larger tournaments, standalone events at gaming conventions, or take place in areas where Regional Championships aren’t held.
To receive an invitation to the World Championships, you’ll need to accumulate a specific number of Championship Points (CP), (500 for the US and Canada, 400 European players, 300 for Latin America, and Oceania, and 200 for the Middle East and Sout Africa(, which varies by region.
Once you’ve got enough CPs, you’ll receive an invitation, and depending on how many you’ve earned, that invite could come with some extra perks like a travel stipend or even a full travel award.
Registration for all these events is managed by individual Tournament Organizers, and there might be an entry fee, so be prepared. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a newbie Trainer, there’s something for everyone in the 2024 Pokémon GO Championship Series.
