Sony has just revealed another PlayStation 5 bundle that includes Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, marking the second bundle offer for the upcoming game. This latest package will feature a standard PS5 console along with a downloadable copy of Spider-Man 2. The bundle is set to hit the market on the same day as Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2, October 20, 2023.
Before this, Sony had already rolled out a special edition bundle in September, priced at $599.99 in the U.S. and £569.99 in the UK. That package included not just the game and the console but also a custom-designed console cover and a matching DualSense wireless controller.
If you’re interested in the custom design but have already got a PS5, you’re in luck. Sony is selling the special edition console covers and DualSense controllers separately. The covers are priced at $64.99/£54.99, and the controllers will cost you $79.99/£69.99.
Last month, Sony gave fans a sneak peek at what they can expect from Spider-Man 2 through a trailer. Narrated by Bryan Intihar, senior creative director at Insomniac, the trailer showed off some new locations and ways to get around New York. Building on the original Spider-Man game and its spin-off, Miles Morales, Spider-Man 2 will offer an expanded version of New York, including not just Manhattan but also Queens and Brooklyn. This effectively doubles the size of the game’s world map.
As of now, Sony hasn’t provided any information on the pricing or pre-order options for the new standard bundle.
