Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains, an adventure launching on Nintendo Switch

If you’re a fan of traditional RPG mechanics and a rich, immersive narrative, well, this news is all for you.

Eastasiasoft and Gamera Games, alongside developer Softstar Entertainment, have exciting news for gaming enthusiasts. Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains makes its way to the Nintendo Switch on December 8, offering a captivating experience at just $14.99 or €14.99. To sweeten the deal, there will be a limited-time 10 percent discount available at launch, making this adventure even more enticing.

This tale of epic proportions first emerged on PC via Steam on July 26, introducing players to a captivating world where Eastern and Western cultures converge. Set against the backdrop of Eurasia, Arabia, Francia, and China, Xuan-Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains places you in the shoes of Septem, a Frankish Knight unwittingly drawn into a power struggle between these disparate cultures.

This beautifully crafted RPG brings mythological and historically-inspired aesthetics to life, blending traditional turn-based mechanics with hand-painted 2D sprites. As you progress, you’ll recruit diverse characters into your party, engage in turn-based battles with gorgeously animated skills, capture and fuse enemies to create new items and monsters, and harness the power of both Eastern and Western mythologies.

It’s a unique fusion of cultures and gameplay that promises to challenge the ambitions of a dark lord threatening the very fabric of civilization.
