Día de Muertos 2023 event guide, new Shiny Costumed Pokémon available now available in Pokémon GO

It is said that our loved ones’ spirits never go away, they simply travel to other worlds, and come back to us every year, on one special day. That day is Día de Muertos.

Today we are participating in a very special event in Pokémon GO, named Día de Muertos 2023, where Trainers can celebrate their loved ones with many bonuses and new Costumed Pokémon. Starting November 1, 2023, and ending November 2, 2023, we will all be surrounded by love, celebrations, and tables full of great food.

During this event, Trainers are able to encounter new (and old) Costumed Pokémon, and they are

  • Cubone wearing a cempasúchil crown
  • Marowak wearing a cempasúchil crown
  • Duskull wearing a cempasúchil crown
  • Dusclops wearing a cempasúchil crown
  • Dusknoir wearing a cempasúchil crown

Bonuses active during the Día de Muertos 2023 event

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
  • 2x Catch Candy
  • Additional Candy for transferring Pokémon ( valid only for Latin America and the Caribbean)

To mark the celebrations in Pokémon GO, Trainers can dress up their avatars with the Día de Muertos avatar item that is available in the in-game shop, as well as get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts and getting them from the in-game shop.
