Free Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Trial Launches This Week

Activision is rolling out a free multiplayer trial for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 that’s sure to be more fun than a barrel of flashbangs. Starting December 14, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC realms players can join the fray. It’s as free as those supply drops you never seem to get in-game.

The trial isn’t just a few scraps from the table; it’s a full-blown feast of Modern Warfare 3 goodness. Players get access to remastered maps to relive their glory days but with better graphics (and hopefully better aim). Plus, there’s the debut of the Season 1 map, Meat. Set in a slaughterhouse in California’s Port of Oakland, it’s the perfect place to ‘meat’ your match and turn the opposition into mincemeat. Just try not to slip on… well, you know.

Mark your calendars: The action kicks off at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm BST on December 14 and runs until December 18 at the exact times. That’s four days of free play, which should be just enough time to realize you might not be as good at this game as you remember. Remember, practice makes perfect, and respawns are free!

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
