Pokémon GO Necrozma Teaser, What Happened to the Legendary Reveal?

Trainers, remember the teaser from the Pokémon GO Japan YouTube account over a year ago? It hinted at the arrival of Ultra Beasts and, intriguingly, also teased the Sun and Moon’s third Legendary Pokémon, Necrozma. While some Ultra Beasts like Nihilego and Buzzwole have since made their debut in Pokémon GO, Necrozma’s absence has left many wondering, where is this Legendary Pokémon?

Necrozma is a remarkable Pokémon, being the mascot for the Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon titles. This Psychic-type Pokémon, despite having no evolutions, possesses a unique ability to fuse with Solgaleo and Lunala. These fusions give rise to its Dusk Mane (Psychic/Steel) and Dawn Wings (Psychic/Ghost) forms. Additionally, Necrozma can transform into its radiant Ultra form, transforming into a Psychic/Dragon-type.

The release of Ultra Beasts in Pokémon GO has been gradual. It took a full year to introduce the first seven, Nihilego, Pheromosa, Buzzwole, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, and Guzzlord. Rumors and leaks suggest that Niantic and Pokémon GO are planning an Ultra Beasts event featuring Stakataka and Blacephalon, so 2024 could be a promising year for more releases.

Looking ahead to 2024, many Pokémon GO players eagerly anticipate the introduction of Necrozma. Some speculate it may not appear until after all the Ultra Beasts are released. What are your thoughts about this? When do you expect to see Necrozma in Pokémon GO? Let us know in the comments below.
