Pokémon GO New Year’s 2024 Event Revealed, New Costumed Pokémon Debuts

Here we are Trainers, at the brink of the new year. We are all excited for what 2024 has in store for us, and what Pokémon GO will surprise us with.

Beginning January 1, 2024, and ending January 3, 2024, Trainers will have the chance to meet with new Costumed Pokémon, and they are Jigglypuff wearing a ribbon and Wigglytuff wearing a ribbon.

During the whole event, the Pokémon GO sky will be filled up with festive fireworks, which adds even more to the excitement of the new and unknown.

There will be two bonuses active during the whole event.

Pokémon GO New Year’s 2024 Bonuses

  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators
  • 1/4 Hatch Distance for the first three Eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon  GO Egg hatching widgets

As always, the following Pokémon will be appearing more in the wild.

Pokémon GO New Year’s 2024 Pokémon Hatching from 7km Eggs

  • Pichu wearing a party hat

As with every event, there will be New Year’s-themed Field Research tasks will be available to Trainers, and completing them will give Stardust, and encounters with Darumaka and Bronzor. There will also be a paid Timed Research available for $1, and completing these tasks will reward Trainers encounters with event-specific Pokémon such as Jigglypuff wearing a ribbon, Hoothoot wearing an NYE outfit and Wurmple wearing a party hat, Stardust, XP and PokéCoins.

Last but not least, there will be a new Darumaka Hat available as an avatar item, as well as a New Year’s box for 99 PokéCoins, containing one Incubator and one Premium Battle Pass.
