Pokémon GO Winter Holiday Part 2 Details Revealed, debuts of Costumed Pokémon and Shiny Vanillite

It seems that this week is quite a busy week in Pokémon GO with all of these announcements.

We now know how Pokémon GO Winter Holiday Part 1 is going to look, and well, it is safe to say that we also know how Pokémon GO Winter Holiday Part 2 is going to continue all the fun.

Starting December 25, 2023, and ending December 31, 2023, Trainers will be able to see two new Costumed Pokémon debuts, and they are Psyduck wearing holiday attire and Golduck wearing holiday attire. Besides this, Trainers can get face-to-face with a new Shiny Pokémon, and that Pokémon is Shiny Vanillite

Pokémon GO Winter Holiday Part 2 Event Bonuses

  • During the Winter Holiday event, Trainers can choose between double XP for catching Pokémon or double Stardust for catching Pokémon
  • Increased XP and Stardust from opening Gifts

Onto the Timed Research. As always, Trainers will be able to participate in a free branching Timed Research. This means that whatever you choose will determine which tasks you get, as well as the bonus you wish to have.

Trainers who are also Amazon Prime members are eligible to get a Holiday Sweater with Scarf avatar item before it goes live in the in-game shop.  Additionally, Trainers will have the opportunity to buy tickets for additional Timed Research, and there are two different options for the tickets.

Pokémon GO Paid Timed Research tickets

  • Ticket 1: For 2$ Trainers can access event-exclusive two-part Timed Research, and they will be granted access to the Timed Research for both parts of the Winter Holiday Part 1. The rewards for Winter Holiday Part 1 are event-themed Pokémon encounters with special Pokémon, including a new costumed Pokémon and two Premium Battle Passes. As for the Winter Holiday Part 2, the rewards will be event-themed Pokémon encounters, as well as an encounter with a new costumed Pokémon, and two Premium Battle Passes.
  • Ticket 2: For 5$, Trainers will get access to event-exclusive Timed Research, and the rewards will be an event-themed avatar pose, 2x Candy for catching Pokémon, various event-themed Pokémon encounters, as well as an encounter with a new costumed Pokémon.

Pikachu wearing holiday attire will have a greater chance of being a Shiny Pokémon if it is encountered through Raids.

There will also be Pokémon hatching from 2km Eggs, and there will be an increased chance of Eevee wearing a holiday hat and Psyduck wearing holiday attire hatched from Eggs to be Shiny Pokémon.

Trainers can visit the in-game shop where they can get a few new avatar items that will bring the holiday spirit.

Last but not least, Trainers can enter their event-themed Pokémon in Showcases at different PokéStops.
