Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour January 2024 featuring Foongus

The mushrooms are here to take over the world, and they will certainly do.

It is time for our favorite event in Pokémon GO, Spotlight Hour. Now, there are many reasons why Spotlight Hours are among the top most loved events by Trainers, but the main one (or two) must be the bonus and the featured Pokémon.

The featured Pokémon during each Spotlight Hour appears everywhere (try every spot on the map) for exactly one hour, on a Tuesday. Every month, on every Tuesday, there is a Spotlight Hour event, so there are many, many chances of stacking up on Candy, XP and whatnot. In January 2024, or to be even more exact, on January 30, 2024, Trainers will have the chance to meet with Foongus.

Besides this, the bonus that will be active during the Spotlight Hour January 2024 featuring Foongus is 2x Stardust for catching Pokémon. Plus, there is going to be an increased chance of Trainers encountering a Shiny Foongus. Another thing: for every Foongus that you catch, you will be rewarded 500 Stardust.

If you want to maximize your experience, you should keep your attention on the weather. Foongus is weather-boosted by Sunny and Cloudy weather, but if you want to take it to another level with the grinding, you should also use a Star Piece. Additionally, Mega evolving or the following Pokémon will give you extra bonuses. You can also use Primal evolution.

Take the most out of it, because this Spotlight Hour is the fifth and final Spotlight Hour in January 2024.
