White-Striped Basculin debuts in Pokémon GO Game Master file ahead of Sinnoh Tour 2024

Trainers, the data for White-Striped Basculin has been added to Pokémon GO’s GM file, and thanks to the Pokemod Group we now have some details about the new, upcoming Pokémon.

Niantic and Pokémon GO recently revealed what’s coming for the Sinnoh Tour 2024 in Los Angeles, USA, and to be honest, the event looks promising. One of the highlights? The introduction of White-Striped Basculin to the game. This new Pokémon will be appearing on Routes during the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh, Los Angeles, and according to the miners, the stats and moves are now added in the Game Master file.

Please keep in mind that White-Striped Basculin is marked as an “exclusive in-person experience.”

Routes are pre-defined paths that you can follow while exploring. Routes can be created by Niantic or even other Trainers. As you follow a Route, you’ll discover Pokémon and receive special bonuses. Completing Routes not only grants rewards but also earns you a unique badge, featuring a custom photo from the start or end point.

Discovering nearby Routes is easy. You can find them through the nearby menu in the game or via the Campfire app. These Routes show you start points, available paths, and other key details like the length of the Route and the estimated time to complete it. Some Routes are one-way, while others can be reversed or looped.

When you’re ready to start a Route, just tap the ‘Follow’ button. The start point will feature a blue flag above the PokéStop on the Map View. As you walk, the Route path changes color to indicate your progress. You can pause or quit the Route anytime from the Active Route Menu.

An interesting feature while following a Route is encountering Mateo, an explorer character. Interacting with Mateo allows for a Gift Exchange, where you can exchange gifts with players from around the world.

Upon completing a Route, you’ll earn a Route Badge, similar to a Gym Badge. You can level up your Route Badge by completing the same Route multiple times. Completing a Route also involves giving it a star rating, which helps assess its quality. Remember, it’s possible to reach a Route’s end point but not complete it if you don’t follow the exact path set by the creator. In such cases, you’ll need to resume and complete the full distance of the Route.

What do you think about the addition of White-Striped Basculin in Pokémon GO? Are you getting it? We would like to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.
