Trainers, Pokemon Go announced all the details regarding the first event in March 2024, the Charged-Up Research Day, so let’s see what this event has to offer.

Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Featured Pokemon

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available when you spin Photo Discs at PokeStops. Complete them to encounter the featured Pokemon!

  • Chinchou (can be shiny)
  • Electrike (can be shiny)
  • Blitzle (can be shiny)
  • Joltik (can be shiny)
  • Helioptile (can be shiny)

Wild encounters

The following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild.

  • Pikachu (can be shiny)
  • Voltorb (can be shiny)
  • Plusle (can be shiny)
  • Minun (can be shiny)
  • Emolga
  • Pawmi

Timed Research

For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research.

This Timed Research will challenge you to complete Field Research tasks to encounter more of the featured Pokemon of your choice!

  • Chinchou (can be shiny)
  • Electrike (can be shiny)
  • Blitzle (can be shiny)
  • Joltik (can be shiny)
  • Helioptile (can be shiny)

Pokemon that appear during this Timed Research will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokemon as those that can be encountered through Field Research during the event.
