Pokemon Go players have to pay to get a free obtainable Pokemon

The Rogue Monkey Pokemon is coming back to Pokemon Go, and Trainers have some opinion on it.

First off, The Rogue Monkey Pokemon, known as Zarude, is returning to Pokemon Go, but through a paid Research Story. At the moment, these tickets are getting really out of hand, and quite expensive, to be honest.

The Verdant Wonders ticket is priced at $7.99, among other tickets, and if you purchase it, you will get some bonuses, plus an encounter with Zarude. In the past, this Pokemon made its debut back in 2021, during a celebratory event for the release of Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. During that event, you got a Special Research for free, and at the end, you got an encounter with Zarude. All for free.

Unlike now, when you have to pay $7.99 to encounter Zarude. It looks like Niantic is making its mission to put everything behind paid tickets with outrageous prices, and you get nothing that special that makes the price reasonable.

Many players decided are not willing to pay that price, so are opting out of the Verdant Wonders event, where if you aren’t a ticket-holder, nothing special happens, except the debut of Shiny Flower Pokemon and a Costume Pokemon.

What do you think about this? Are you going to purchase the ticket?
