Pokemon Go Raid Changes: First Experiment Reduces Raid Timers to 30 Minutes

Trainers, Niantic, and Pokemon Go announced the other day that they’re going to experiment with Raid Egg timers, and it looks like they’ve made the first change, and all Raids now last 30 minutes. Yes, all Raid Egg timers are now set to 30 minutes, and this is not something we want to see in the game.

Niantic and Pokemon Go started experimenting with Raid timers, and the first change has been reported. All Raids last 30 minutes now, and all players, including us, are not happy with this change. Why reduce Raid time?

Shorter Raids lead to more Raids, and more Raids translate into more PokeCoins for Niantic.

This might be good for Raid events like Raid Hour, but not for the daily Raid experience. This will definitely not motivate players to raid more, as short raids are harder to organize.
