Pokemon Go 8-bit Graphics April Fool’s Day Event was the Best IMO

Trainers, do you remember back in 2018 when Niantic and Pokemon Go made all Pokemon 8-bit? We had forgotten, but thanks to PoGoCentral and his post on X, our memory came back, and we decided to go back to the past when things were simpler.

Pokemon Go has always been considered one of the most interesting mobile games, which managed to ‘rise and fall’ and ‘fall and rise again in a short time. Remember 2016 when the streets were packed with Pokemon Go players trying to catch all the Pokemon? Well, those were the times. However, the game is still around after almost 8 years, which proves how popular it still is.

Niantic and Pokemon Go teams have always tried to make the game as interesting as possible and decided to release an event for every holiday, special day, and weekend, and these events have become more common, and more interesting. Okay, let’s be honest, not all events were 100%, but most were great.

PoGoCentral posted an image with 8-bit pixel Pokemon on his X account, which brought us back to 2018 when Niantic and Pokemon Go celebrated April Fools’ Day. As a prank, they changed the graphics of the Pokemon, and the entire Pokedex was full of 8-bit Pokemon.

They kept the Pokemon’s 8-bit graphics until April 7, 2018. That was the last time we saw the pixelated Pokemon, hoping they would return at some point.
