Pokemon GO Routes freezing and crashing the game after latest update

Would it be a Pokemon GO update if there aren’t any other bugs after? I guess not.

Yesterday, many Trainers were forced to update Pokemon GO with the latest 0.307.1 update, and nobody really knew what this update was supposed to fix. Maybe because there were so many bugs and glitches, that we didn’t even notice what was fixed.

Well, it is expected for Pokemon GO to have a lot of bugs right after the update. Features broken, game crashing nonstop, and many other things that affect gameplay, like a lot. To the degree that it can become unplayable for a while.

Several players are now reporting that something is happening with the Routes feature, something that I don’t like seeing. They all say that they are unable to start Routes, and that the feature causes Pokemon GO to either freeze or crash. Nothing of the usual tricks work, so I guess that this will be fixed with the next update, which will cause more bugs.

The Routes feature is currently not accessible due to this bug, because it will immediately do this to the Pokemon GO app. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything official coming from Niantic at the moment of writing.

An update comes, bugs appear, and then another update comes. The vicious Pokemon GO cycle.
