Escape From Tarkov’s New “THETA” Secure Container teased by Nikita

Nikita Buyanov, the man behind the madness, just dropped a teaser on X, revealing a potential surprise once the new trader settles in the game. Let me break it down for you if you haven’t seen it yet.

So, Nikita tweeted an image of a new container that you can snag from a brand-new merchant in the game. The tweet is as cryptic as ever, just like Tarkov itself. It said: “New container you will be able to obtain from the new merchant – Ref. #EscapefromTarkov #EFTarena.

The container, branded with “THETA,” looks like it means business. It’s rugged, tactical, and has that classic EFT vibe that makes you feel like you’re about to go on a black-ops mission. This container may be bigger than some of the already existing ones, and include some unique features or bonuses which could make it a primary purchase. Imagine it being bigger than the Gamma or even close to the Kappa container?

The container was first revealed on X by Nikita. It’s quite likely seeing this new trader arriving with the release of 1.0, which technically was promised and should happen at the start of 2025.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
