World of Warcraft The War Within’s Beta Starts Next Week

Alright, boys and girls, gather ’round. World of Warcraft’s The War Within Beta starts next week, on June 5! If you’re anything like me, you’re probably losing your mind right now.

If you’re one of those lucky veterans, press folks, or an old-school fan, you might score an invite to the beta. But if you’re desperate (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), just pre-order the Epic Edition, and you’ll be guaranteed access. No waiting, no RNGesus, just straight-up beta action. Plus, you get a three-day head start on the expansion. That’s right, there are three days to flex on everyone else.

First off, don’t get scammed by some random email. If you get an invite, double-check by logging into your account to ensure it’s legit. Once you’re clear, update your graphics drivers because nobody has time for lag. Fire up the app, update it if it’s been collecting dust, select WoW, and pick The War Within from the Game Version menu. Hit that install button, and boom, you’re in.

A lot of things are coming with this expansion

Create a new test character or import your Dragonflight character. Dive into those fresh zones and dungeons, and let’s see what Blizzard’s cooked up this time. Oh man, where do I even start? We’re talking brand new zones like Khaz Algar, the Isle of Dorn, the Ringing Deep, and more. And get this: the Earthen is now a playable race. Yeah, those gem-encrusted dudes with beards for days. Customize to your heart’s content.

There are eight new dungeons, four for leveling up and four for max-level players. Not feeling the group grind? No problem. The campaign story continues with Follower Dungeons, so you can still get your dungeon fix solo. And then there’s the Nerub’ar Palace raid. Eight bosses, epic loot, and a showdown with Xal’atath herself. Get ready to sweat because this one’s gonna be intense.

As for other features, there will be new treasure-filled vaults you can explore solo or with friends. Warbands, account-wide progression for all your alts. Share your Warband Bank, Renown, achievements, and more. Hero Talents are back, with new trees for each class spec. There’s also a new battleground, Deephaul Ravine, and many updates to professions and the UI.

The only part I am somewhat concerned about is that the Epic edition gives you a three-day head-start. This is for the first time in WoW’s history, and we’re about to see what will happen.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
