Kena: Bridge of Spirits Arrives on Xbox this August

If you’ve been itching for a new adventure on your Xbox, your wait is almost over. Ember Lab’s stunning action-adventure game, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, finally hits Xbox consoles on August 15, 2024.

First, for those who somehow missed it when it dropped on PlayStation in September 2021, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an absolute masterpiece. It’s got a heartfelt story, epic gameplay, and those little Rot creatures. Too cute for words. It bagged awards like Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021, so you know it’s legit.

Now, here’s where it gets even better for Xbox players. Ember Lab is bringing some exclusive goodies to the table. We’re talking Xbox-exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats (yeah, pirates!), a unique Kena Staff, and a Golden Rot Skin. And if you’re like me and would love a physical copy, the Premium Edition is coming, too. This one’s got the official digital soundtrack, a sticker sheet (for those sticker bombers out there), and all those sweet in-game exclusives.

Josh Grier, the COO at Ember Lab, is pretty stoked about this release. He said, “We’re thrilled to bring the story of Kena to a new audience on Xbox platforms. As our debut game, Kena means a great deal to everyone at the studio, and the team is excited to share Kena’s journey with more players. We really hope everyone enjoys meeting Kena and her Rot friends!” Sounds like the Ember Lab team put a lot of heart into this.

In Kena: Bridge of Spirits, you’ve got exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat that keeps you on your toes. The Xbox version includes the Anniversary DLC from 2022, which means more Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, and enhanced accessibility features. You get to start over with all your abilities, upgrades, and Rot pals, facing more formidable enemies and redesigned combat scenarios.

Review keys are up for grabs for those eager to get their hands on it early. Just hit up the link to register your interest. And if you want a sneak peek, check out the teaser trailer. Trust me, it’s worth the watch.
