Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Will Have Different Progression System Than Predecessors

Have you been fatigued by the progression system the Odyssey newest series of Assassin’s Creed? The progression of those games was leaning more towards the RPG elements instead of the action-adventure players searched for. Something that early Assassin’s Creed titles had, a direct and straightforward narrative, with exciting combat mechanics.

Well, for the sake of everyone, it seems that Ubisoft is planning to revamp the progression system in Valhalla and make it more acceptable than before. Easier to navigate and stick to the main story without going astray, Valhalla’s progression system may keep players put to the account without the necessity of grinding for levels.

In a recent interview with Kotaku Australia, Ashraf Ismail, the game’s creative director has unveiled secrets on the new progression system.

“So we’ve reflected a lot since Origins on progression and what that means for players, and we have a new take on progression in this game. We have more the concept of power, the power that is gained through, let’s say, the player gaining skills.”

This is with a reason to avoid any big progression walls that players stumble upon during their gameplay, and will allow them to focus purely on the main story and progress, aside from anything else. Something that reminds us of the old days of Assassin’s Creed, back when no mandatories were related to the progress.

Furthermore, The Odyssey XP Booster created a huge fan backlash, and Ubisoft is probably thinking of feature absence. However, time will tell if the new Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be worth the money.
