Classic IntelliMouse Reborn On Microsoft’s Store, A True Legend

Similar to the old IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, also, as noted by Microsoft, Inspired by it, IntelliMouse returns back to the new gaming era with a new name. Classic IntelliMouse is the name it can be sorted under. As a retired Counter-Strike professional, I was sticking with IntelliMouse 1.1 and I definitely loved it, while some of my teammates decided to go with IntelliMouse 3.0.

There was a reason why every professional Counter-Strike player loved the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Although, players can now have a glimpse of the past since Microsoft decided to improve and rebrand the old one into a Classic IntelliMouse. Classic IntelliMouse uses USB 2.0 Interface, has Imaging Rate of 3000 frames per second and uses Microsoft BlueTrack Technology as a tracking system.

To underline the best possible change, which is quite normal since we’re in a different era now, the Classic IntelliMouse’s sensor supports up to 3200 ppi or dpi, call it however you want it. It seems like we have a quality product close to our hands.

It supports up to 1000 reports per second, what we used to call mouse hertz and it offers 5 buttons including a scroll wheel button. According to Microsoft’s Official Website, Right and Left button life is estimated up to 10,000,000 clicks while side button is 100,000 and wheel button is 350,000. The New Classic IntelliMouse comes with a 1 year warranty, and you can order it by visiting Microsoft’s Classic IntelliMouse official store page.

I can recall lots of memories by just looking the mouse. It was a beast among others, even if Steelseries and Razer existed back in the days. However, Steelseries was a bit late with their mouse’s invention. Therefore, there was not that big of a choice, since Zowie wasn’t there as well. All of the Counter-Strike pro matches were simply between Razer, Logitech, Microsoft. Those days might come back, if players find the Classic IntelliMouse Useful again.

Microsoft’s most Iconic IntelliMouse is making a comeback. It just remains to be seen if fellow players are going to love it or not.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. My mission is to lurk and discover secrets, create guides and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, patch notes too. I mostly play FPS and love experimenting in good MMORPGs.
