CoD: Warzone, Free-To-Play Battle Royale With Cross-Play?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare was most probably waiting for the right timing, and as it seems, we’re getting closer to it as the days pass by. As first announced and known for, named Warzone, the new Battle Royale Game Mode in Modern Warfare is counting its days off. What’s the most exciting part is that it might cost nothing to start playing it.

Warzone, the somewhat next iteration of Battle Royale, will consist of up to 150 players. With that, a promised and optimized gameplay for all of them would be the designated mission that Infinity Ward is seeking for. To extend the life of Modern Warfare and keep a solid player base, the new Battle Royale Game mode might be the right choice.

Call of Duty: Warzone, will be free to play for everyone, and probably won’t require the base copy of the game. This may be performed by adding a different option once the game is launched, or maybe a completely new title on the Blizzard launcher?

The Cross-Play feature is of huge importance in this scenario, and it is also supposed to be a part of the game itself. Being present in Modern Warfare somewhat assigns that it will be available in Warzone too!

Infinity Ward believed that this is a well-kept secret, while it turned to be the complete opposite. The New Modern Warfare Battle Royale game mode is expected to release very soon, and a video of it and how the game looks has already surfaced by Chaos, which is a known fan of the CoD series.

It is namely the same mechanics in which players will need to drop and scavenge the remains scattered across the island, with which they can contribute towards their benefit. One exciting factor is the map size, which is expected to be bigger than any other BR game, in which 150 players will seek for a narrow space to gear up.

This is Infinity Ward’s first Battle Royale title, which in some sort, alters the very ordinary 100-player Battle Royale games. Also, there might be a “Gulag” mode in which players will have a chance to get back on the battlefield. Once eliminated, they will probably get to fight between each other, after which the winner returns to the battlefield. It sounds a lot of fun, as it offers a chance of reincarnation.

However, we’ll have to see the final and decisive moment once the game comes out. Whether or not it will be free, will it consist up to 150+ players or anything else that may assign a new Battle Royale era, we’ll find out soon!

After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
