DayZ 1.08 Hotfix Released, Fixes Damage Hud For Fence and Watchtower

After the installment of DayZ patch 1.08, numerous mechanics have been broken or have become unresponsive. Therefore, an additional hotfix was already queued by Bohemia Interactive, tending to fix all the issues encountered after the 1.08 update. Among them, the damage hud of some structures, which has become invisible after the update. Today, that hotfix has been deployed, which is returning the broken damage hud on Fence / Watchtower parts.

Even though DayZ 1.08 noticed a lot of bug fixes, the developers are still struggling to find a balance between content and functionality. Arguably enough, it is hard to keep things at balance, knowing that both of the categories are being in development at the same time. Below you can find the complete changelog for today’s hotfix:

GAME

ADDED

  • Added: The damage state of the Fence / Watchtower parts is now visible in the hud (the dot next to the targets name)

FIXED

  • Fixed: Containers with liquid did not have their correct weight after filling
  • Fixed: Performance issues around bigger bases, which could also lead to client crashes

CHANGED

  • Tweaked: Lowered intensity of sun shafts

We know that Bohemia Interactive is deeply committed to the development of their Enfusion engine, and that’s why other titles from their lineup are very rarely receiving an update. Luckily, due to its flagship property, DayZ is one of the games receiving updates more frequently than the others.
