Destiny 2 Console Patch Coming on December 5, Adds Support for 4K and HDR

The developer of Destiny 2, Bungie, will release an update for the game on consoles. This means that the game will support a 4K resolution and HDR. The patch will be available on December 5, together with the launch of the game’s second season of content, also its first expansion, Curse of Osiris.

For the ones that have been wondering what is the difference between PS4 Pro and Xbox On X, we will give you a perfect example with Destiny 2. On Xbox One X, the game will run at 4K, with no problems. However, on PS4 Pro, it will run in an “adaptive 4K resolution”. The console will constantly change the game’s resolution up and down all the time.

The Windows PC version of Destiny 2, launched sometime around late October, has a full support of 4K and HDR. Until now, it is only confirmed that Bungie will add HDR to Destiny 2 on PS4. If the developer wasn’t ready to talk changes for the game on PS4 and Xbox One X, that is completely okay, but they act like the Xbox One version vaporized and doesn’t exist.

Since4 September 2016, all of the PS4 consoles support HDR. While the Microsoft ones, only the latest Xbox One S and the Xbox One S support HDR.
