Today, BlizzCon and Blizzard announced that we will see the original Diablo in Diablo 3. This will be recreated in a way for the players to feel the “old school” touch of the game. A lot of Diablo fans already know that the first release of the game was back in 1996 31st of December. You remember the graphics and the quests? That was my favorite game back in the childhood.
Now, let’s go back to where we started. This new update called “ The Darkening of Tristram” will be available for the fans of Diablo, now Diablo 3, next week on Public Test Realm.
This is going to be a free event and Blizzard is expecting a lot of “traffic”.
What can we expect in the new update?
“The Darkening of Tristram” update will be with everything that you like about the “old school” Diablo, and its for free! 16 levels or dungeons and only 4 bosses. The movement of the character will be only in 8 directions. Special graphic filters will apply, that pixelate and add grain.
Unfortunately, no images or video are available yet.
Frank Pearce, the chief developer officer of Blizzard says that this update “The Darkening of Tristram” will send you back into the depths of the Cathedral. As we already know, Diablo will be released in an upcoming update for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
Also, what is very interesting is the Necromancer class. This class is going to be part of the new Diablo 3. Necromancers are part of the Diablo 2 Necromancer that gives Blizzard an inspiration to bring them back in the new chapter. The only difference is that maybe they will not have the same abilities as before, but Bone Spear and Corpse Explosion are on the list.
Necromancers can expect darker, more controlled gameplay centered around the raw materials of life: blood and bone. Grounded in a philosophical, pragmatic approach to life and death, they’re more like a calculated conductor of the darkest arts. Deadly serious in their practice, they are the experts of curses and reanimation. and their pets obey their every command.
Necromancer class is part of the upcoming Rise of the Necromancer pack. You can also get a character pet, two extra inventory slots, stash tabs, pennant, portrait frame and banner sigil.
Concerning the price, I don’t know it yet. The fans can expect it in 2017.
