Discord Becomes Every Overwatch League Team Choice

Lately, Discord is becoming more and more popular. The company partnered up with Spotify for in-chat soundtracks, they’ve also added video chat and screen sharing to its service. Right now, they are planning to get in the eSports realm by partnering up with 20+ teams. These teams include Team Liquid, DreamHack and more.

The program is launching on February 22nd, on servers that are verified by the company. They will let team members chat, share some news and discuss matches.

The team that originates from the Netherlands, called Team Liquid, have said that they are already using Discord for their official communications.

In their official statement they said:

“When it came to making a decision on what voice communication software Team Liquid would use to communicate and create a community with our fans. There was no question that Discord was the obvious choice. There’s simply nothing that rivals the quality of the product.”
