Dragon Quest Builders 2 No Longer Secured by Denuvo

Denuvo’s anti-tamper tech is unavoidably slowing down the performance of those who try to secure from piracy. After the guarantee period is finished or the number of copies sold met, the developer may opt-in to remove this technology. Many other games have been a part of the removal process, which has usually resulted in improved game performance.

Well, Dragon Quest Builders 2 has been a part of this phenomenon, and now Square Enix has decided to remove the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. The Denuvo anti-tamper tech is no longer part of Square Enix’s block-building RPG.

This isn’t the first game that has been a part of this technology, and probably not the last. While some game devs are willing to keep the tech for a more extended time, others want to remove it and bring out a more pleasant and smoother gameplay experience to the players.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is available on all platforms, alongside a slew of content available throughout a Season Pass.
