Exclusive Raid Battles, Invitations, Eggs and Rewards

One of the new, upcoming feature in Pokemon Go is the Exclusive Raid Battles. These type of Raid will appear periodically at Gyms, where a rare Pokemon spawns. Recently there have been many questions about these Raids, so I will try to make it easier for you.

The Exclusive Raid Battles are something new in the game, where the Trainers can battle and catch one of the rarest Pokemon in the game. In this case, this is Mewtwo, a unique Pokemon who was first seen and caught during the Pikachu Outbreak event in Yokohama, Japan. But, in the US and around the world, things will work differently. In order to participate in these specific Raids, players will need an invitation.

Only Trainers who will defeat a Raid Boss at the same Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place will receive an invitation to participate, in advance. This sounds confusing, right? But what if the Exclusive Raid invitation is just to guarantee that Mewtwo will spawn at the most active Gym?

The Exclusive Raid Eggs work the same as the normal Raid Eggs. These Raid Eggs will appear prior to an Exclusive Raid Battle, and shows what Pokemon will hatch.

Finishing an Exclusive Raid Battle will grant you an Exclusive Raid Rewards, as follows – 50 Premier Balls, Rare Candy, Golden Razz Berry, Charged TM and Fast TM.

These type of Raids are very difficult to master, which means that players need to help each other. So, “pump up” your Pokemon, train hard and Raid Battles!
