Japanese Developer Platinum Games Working on Two New Independent IPs

The former CEO and producer of the Capcom subsidiary Clover Studio, and now a head producer at the development division at Platinum Games (creators of Bayonetta and NieR: Automata), Atsushi Inaba, has revealed that the team has been working on two independent IPs.

Last year, there were rumors circling around that Platinum Games have been working on a new game, and the same to be released in 2017, but today we found out that Atsushi Inaba and Platinum Games have been working on two independent IPs.

Atsushi Inaba hasn’t shared any info about the titles, but we do know that 20 people will work on each title, with a goal to not create indie titles and to create a unique content in both IPs.

Inaba has also said that they couldn’t “compile an AAA title worth 10 million dollars because they do not have such a kind of money as an independent developer.

For us, the reason because of we want to do this is to motivate the people that work here. We want to give them a chance to make their own video game,” concluded Inaba.
