Microsoft will succeed in bringing Xbox Live Cross-Platform Gaming to Nintendo Switch

It may sound like the most notorious and surprising extravaganza nowadays, but the shocking shall extinguish as the news is most likely to be true. 2019 is bringing good news regarding Xbox Live. It is about to spread among one more platform, the Nintendo Switch.

It appears like the Minecraft cross-play trailer won’t be the only thing, as we’re about to witness something different. According to GDC 2019 and its schedule, Xbox is firm in its intentions to bringing cross-play to Nintendo Switch.

The site clearly states:

Xbox Live is one of the largest, most engaged gaming communities on the planet with decades of experience providing managed game services to developers that save you time and unlock all of the social and engagement features that players love.

Furthermore, the story continues explaining the possible growth of Xbox Live and more.

Now Xbox Live is about to get MUCH bigger. Xbox Live is expanding from 400M gaming devices and a reach to over 68M active players to over 2B devices with the release of our new cross-platform XDK.

These partnerships occur while Sony is still following its strict cross-play policy. Forbidding the most desired outcome by the fans is somewhat inappropriate and will most likely be judged with negative feedback.

Nevertheless, we’re on the edge of experiencing something new in the gaming industry, which will serve as a relay to connect more players together.
