Minecraft will receive PSVR support as a free update this month
PSVR is awesome, and we'll finally get it in Minecraft.
Sony has announced that Minecraft will receive PSVR support this month as a free update. If you’ve ever wanted to enjoy playing Minecraft in VR, you’ll finally get the opportunity to do so. This is a feature that has been very much requested and will become available on the PS4.
This functionality has been demanded so much, and it’s been planned to release for a long time. This was announced today via a blog post on the official website. Sony stated that everyone who owns Minecraft on PS4 would automatically update and gain access to the new VR functionality.
Once we’ve finished the final bits of polish to the experience, the PS VR support will arrive via a patch for the main Minecraft game. Everyone who has Minecraft on PlayStation 4 will get that patch automatically. Download that patch and you’ll get access to the new Minecraft VR functionality. Of course, you’ll need a PS VR setup in order to use it. All of you have one of those right?!
Just like the main game, you use your DualShock 4 controller to move around and do all the crafting and choppy/fighty things that you need to do, but you’ll be fully immersed in your Minecraft world. I guarantee you will jump out of your skin at some point.
