You Need 4528 Hours of Gameplay or $2100 To Unlock Everything In Star Wars: Battlefront II

Out of nowhere, after the announced boycott and series of critics on EA’s account, the salt never ends. To make this even saltier and angrier in eyes of fans, a fan has been calculating how much time would a player need to unlock everything in Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

A thread was made on Reddit focusing strictly on this question. The answers are ridiculously overwhelming, making players grind for around 4528 hours of pure gameplay or pay $2100 to unlock everything in Star Wars: Battlefront II. Fans keep on telling stories around this as changing all those hours with real-life.

There is a grand total of 324 cards. Upgrading these will require a total of 155,520 crafting parts. This requires opening a grand total of 3,111 loot crates which will require 4,528 hours of gameplay.

The 600 credits received from a hero crate is worth 27% the cost of a hero crate. This is equivalent to 30 crystals. To account for this, I reduced the cost of a hero crate from 110 crystals to 80 crystals. 12,000 crystals can be bought for $100.

Opening the required 3,111 loot crates requires 248,880 crystals. If you only purchase $100 crystal packs, this will cost $2,100.

Let’s make it simple, so if a real-life employee who spends 8 hours dedicated on his job, in this case, let’s say his job is unlocking everything in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, he will need 1.5 years to do that. Isn’t this kind of system used in all the MMORPG’s nowadays? But, yet somehow everyone gets all he needs after a couple of months of gameplay. Well, in this case, we’re talking about a shooter, nothing more.

This is one of the core reasons why everyone gives up on Star Wars: Battlefront II. The game is simply not the right genre for applying this kind of unlock system at all. Even if it is, the game’s initial price is high enough to include microtransactions.

I am ANGE1K. I started playing video games a long time ago. In a blink of an eye, I became a hardcore gamer. A couple of years later, I traversed to the professional Counter-Strike 1.6 scene. After the competitive ERA, I managed to find the gaming industry amusing and started working on FGR. 8 years after founding FGR, my mission remains the same. That is to discover secrets within the gaming industry, create guides for all the games I play, and provide you with some important news. Oh, yeah, I post tons of patch notes too. At the time, I play everything that seems reasonable to play, make content about it and help gamers to the best of my abilities. P.S. Last time I counted how many hours I've spent in video games turned out to be 13+ years. And that was a long time ago too. Almost 24/7 in front of PC.
